A Blessed Journey into Eternity: Bible Study Day at United Shalom Pentecostal Malayalam Church

A Day of Spiritual Enrichment: Bible Study Day at United Shalom Pentecostal Malayalam Church, Liverpool

On Saturday, 30th November 2024, the United Shalom Pentecostal Malayalam Church in Liverpool hosted a deeply enriching Bible Study Day, marked by three uplifting sessions that brought our congregation closer to the eternal truths of God’s Word. The day was a blend of profound teaching, heartfelt worship, and cherished fellowship, leaving us spiritually nourished and inspired.

A Prayerful Start

The day began with a heartfelt prayer led by our beloved Pr. Philip Varghese (Jose), inviting the presence of God to guide and bless every moment of our gathering. His prayer set a tone of reverence and gratitude, preparing our hearts for the day ahead.

Morning and Afternoon Bible Study Sessions

The morning session commenced at 10:30 am, with our esteemed Guest Pastor, Pr. A.G. Jude, leading us into an in-depth exploration of Eternity. His teaching, grounded in Scripture and delivered with profound clarity, opened our eyes to the eternal hope we have in Christ.

After a brief lunch break, the afternoon session resumed at 1:30 pm and continued until 5:00 pm. Once again, Pr. Jude’s insights challenged and encouraged us to live with an eternal perspective, prompting us to align our lives with God’s greater purpose.

Fellowship Over Food

The joy of fellowship was magnified by the delicious meals provided throughout the day. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every family who brought lunch, making it a time of sharing and community. The evening snack, Vettu Cake (Fried Tea Cake), a cherished Kerala dessert, was lovingly prepared by Pastor Aunty, wife of our guest pastor. This delightful treat brought back fond childhood memories and was enjoyed by all.

For dinner, we were blessed with a sumptuous meal expertly prepared by Chef Br. Rony, whose culinary skills added a wonderful conclusion to the day. We are immensely grateful for his efforts in preparing such a delicious meal for everyone.

Evening Gospel Meeting

The evening gospel meeting, held from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, was a time of worship and reflection. It began with an inspiring musical service led by our choir under the leadership of Br. Biju Mathew. Their heartfelt melodies lifted our spirits and prepared us for the Word.

Pr. A.G. Jude’s message during the gospel meeting once again focused on Eternity, resonating deeply with everyone present. His eloquent words and spiritual wisdom were a powerful reminder of the eternal hope we have in Jesus Christ. We are also grateful for the quiet yet impactful presence of Pastor Aunty, whose love and support exemplified the heart of their ministry.

The meeting concluded with a warm fellowship over dinner, where we shared stories, reflections, and gratitude for the day.

Expressions of Gratitude

We thank Pr. Philip Varghese (Jose) for his prayerful leadership, which set the tone for this blessed day. Our heartfelt thanks go to Pr. A.G. Jude and his wife for their invaluable ministry, enriching us with their wisdom and love. We also extend our gratitude to Br. Biju Mathew and the choir for their inspiring musical service, to every family who contributed to the lunch, to Chef Br. Rony for preparing the delicious dinner, to everyone who attended the whole day session, and to the friends and families who joined us for the evening gospel meeting.

A Word of Scripture

As we reflect on this blessed day, the words of the Apostle Paul resonate deeply:

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

May God’s name be glorified for this wonderful day of spiritual nourishment and fellowship. Let us continue to seek Him and His eternal kingdom with renewed faith and fervour. Praise be to God!
