Three Days of Fasting Prayer With Pastor Jostin Babu: A Divine Encounter with God’s Grace

As a church, we recently experienced a profoundly moving and spiritually uplifting three days of fasting prayer from the 27th to the 29th of December 2024. This sacred time of worship and reflection culminated in our regular Sunday service, making it a truly memorable and transformative event.

The prayer meetings began daily at 10:00 am and were divided into two sessions. The morning session ended around 2:30 pm, giving us time for personal reflection and fellowship, while the evening session started at 5:30 pm and continued until 8:00 pm. This structure allowed us to immerse ourselves fully in worship, prayer, and the powerful messages shared over the three days.

We were blessed to have Pastor Jostin Babu, a revered spiritual leader from Trivandrum, as our guest pastor. His preaching was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on every heart in attendance. His messages were powerful, heartfelt, and filled with divine wisdom, touching the lives of families, individuals, and especially those seeking deeper truths in their spiritual journey. His words inspired several non-baptised members to take a momentous decision-to follow the path of holy baptism. This act of faith is a testament to the profound impact of his ministry and the workings of the Holy Spirit during these blessed days.

Each of Pastor Jostin’s sermons brought new insights and challenged us to reflect deeply on our personal faith. From his passionate teaching on the power of prayer to his heartfelt messages of hope and renewal, he reminded us that no situation is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Many among us were moved to tears as he spoke of surrendering our burdens and embracing God’s plan for our lives. His unique ability to connect scripture to the realities of daily life left an impression that will guide us long after these three days.

Our own Pastor Philip Varghese also played a pivotal role in making this event a success. His unwavering dedication, spiritual leadership, and heartfelt prayers continue to guide and unite us as a church family. We are truly grateful for his shepherding spirit, which provides constant encouragement to us all. His personal reflections during the prayer sessions further inspired us to draw closer to God and to one another as a community of faith.

The church choir deserves heartfelt appreciation for their inspiring worship sessions, which lifted our spirits and prepared our hearts to receive the word of God. Their melodious voices, combined with their evident passion for glorifying the Lord, created an atmosphere of reverence and joy throughout the three days. Each song was not only a beautiful offering of praise but also a reminder of the unity and love we share as a congregation.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to every church family and member who participated in these fasting prayers with such dedication and unity. The presence of children among us was a true blessing, as they sang, prayed, and rejoiced with pure and innocent hearts, reminding us of the beauty of childlike faith. Watching them engage in worship was a testament to the importance of nurturing faith in the next generation, and their enthusiasm brought immense joy to everyone present.

These three days of prayer and fellowship were unlike anything we have witnessed before. They renewed our spirits, strengthened our faith, and deepened our connection with one another and with our Lord. As we reflect on this time, we are reminded of the power of collective worship and the incredible ways God moves when we come together in unity and humility.

We praise God for His abundant blessings upon our church and look forward to continuing this journey of faith together, trusting in His divine guidance every step of the way. May we all carry the spirit of these three days into the new year, growing stronger in faith and love.

To God be all the glory!
